is the co-creation implied here in the energy context or in a generic sense?
Sara Herreras
41:11
Should we answer the questions in the context of the heat transition
Anatol Itten

Question one: What is your experience with digital co-creation?Question two: What works well already?Question three: What needs to be improved?

That's a really good acronym

question related to ARE IN, as well as addressing the silent middle: how to identify these peope and attract them to these processes?looking forward to insights from the pilots.

AIM FOR A ‘WHOLE SYSTEM’ APPROACH – ARE INAuthority to Act (eg Decision making)Resources (eg contacts, time, money, assets, ideas)Expertise (eg technical skills and broad knowledge)Information (eg facts and experiences others should have)Need (eg those personally affected by what happens)

@Devon, data is the answer. Silent middle are typically the so-called passive energy consumers, who don't switch suppliers often and who don't prosume/ participate in energy initiatives. The consumption data is clearly indicating which consumers are those. Of course privacy provisions do not allow such energy consumer profiling. But it's technically possible and very easy

Some online platforms: Mural, Miro, MetroRetro, Mentimeter, Answer Garden.

I follow up question regarding the silent majority is what is called participatory democracy. It is well known from empirical studies on public participation in environmental matters that poor and less well-educated groups of society are unable to participate effectively in decision-making procedures. This means that wealthy and well-educated groups of people have more means (i.e. knowledge) are more likely to shape the outcome of the decision-making during co-creation processes

@anatol a question about online meetings, did you prepare groups for breakout sessions before this meeting? or was it generated automatically by the zoom software based on the list of actual attendees?

@ Fionnguala - another platform to add is: https://www.well-sorted.org/

01:10:33
@Sara, indeed, this is the case. There are studies regarding energy and data poverty, and energy and data democracy. But I believe there is somewhat of a gap in the research related to involving vulnerable consumers in the energy co-creation (e.g. collectives) and decision making.

did you get any concretely usable Outputs you really used? often the Outputs provide some vague Inspiration but rather disappear
Fionnguala Sherry-Brennan
01:29:15
There is also the option of asking the simple question to the stakeholders and participants, 'Would you like to set the agenda for our next meeting?'
Naomhin Love
01:29:42
Having an independent facilitator lead the meeting discussions removing that hierarchy issue during meeting
Steven Hartung
01:30:10
another interesting question would be, how to make sure that every participant understand the value of co-creation. e.g. I developed power to heat in Eastern Germany, invested a lot of money, thoughts and time in several solutions, but the public utilities did it then by themselves, because they have the power
Anna Lena Gompelmann
01:49:01
@Lies Debbaut: it might be interesting to contact existing citizen (energy) cooperations in Brugge. The already have existing communication channels and show interest in the carbon free energy transition.
